Good to know

Just people too. And good ones at that!

Camping Hirzberg

Who's the boss here?

Good question. We'd say: everyone. When it comes to making sure everything runs smoothly. As a team, we are of course the point of contact, organise this and that, keep this beautiful place in good order and in honour, and develop it further.

The team – you'll recognise them straight away when you get here. By the walkie-talkie, the tool belt, the espressos, the problem-solving... From the first handshake or cappuccino, you'll know who's going to help.

And what does that mean in concrete terms? That you don't have to search for long here if something needs doing. That there's always someone around who knows what's what, makes space, or lends a hand for a moment. And there are three things we're truly convinced of: talking to each other helps, staying relaxed does too, and above all – being respectful.

We look forward to seeing you – your „Camping Hirzberg“ team!

Good to Know

Keep it simple.

Many things in life aren't that complicated. Getting along with each other, for example.

Hirzberg Shared House Rules? The Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Is that everything, then? A bit of tact, a bit of thinking things through – and above all, the ability not to take yourself too seriously all the time. Incidentally, it helps with that: humour.

For those who still want to read it – here comes what is important to us, so that everyone has a relaxed time here.

Consideration

Hirzberg Camping is a rather small site – for relaxed getaways, not for big egos and elbows. Here, no one needs to get loud to be noticed. Those who need peace will find it. Those looking for connection will find it. Both work wonderfully. Just give it a try.

And those travelling with dogs are welcome. And, like everyone else, they should be considerate.

  • On the square, dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.
  • The dog is ALWAYS out of place.
  • Yes, even with small businesses. Because if one person marks out, everyone marks out.

Talking to each other

And if things don't go quite to plan: welcome to life! Talking helps then. With each other and with us. This is especially true for criticism and suggestions for improvement. Bring them on! Better open and direct than two days later on Google.

To be

That's why a part of the team is always on site. A reception with a screen? We prefer eye contact to QR codes under a scanner. It also wouldn't be able to prepare such excellent espresso properly on the side. Or have a chat.

And if we need to be brief and to the point (regarding pitch allocation and instructions), please accept it as necessary clarity and trust us. We really have a good overview and experience with our pitches.

Stay calm

Nevertheless – nobody here acts like the boss. Not even the boss himself. Everyone is the boss here when it comes to being a temporary social community. Not everything is regulated. But most things can be sorted out.

Waste separation

Those who love camping, love nature.

So please, please everyone: love consistently. We could start an ecological appeal now, or explain the principle of reusable raw materials.

But honestly: Separating waste isn’t a chore. It’s just the right thing to do. We're making it easy for you: The Recycling point is ready right at the entrance.

Wi-Fi

Last, but not least – a topic almost as sensitive as parking space requests. The good news first: WLAN is free. However, it's incredibly slow for that, especially when everyone is streaming in parallel. And no, it's not a personal offline philosophy. We've been working on it for a long time. But until Telekom commits to the infrastructure, it remains: limited and surprisingly relaxing.
